English: A gravel driveway forms a loop around an island of trees and shrubs. Glen Echo Park-Clara Barton House. The circular graveled driveway at the Clara Barton National Historic Site existed during the historic period. The driveway was likely created in the spring or early summer of 1897, soon after Clara Barton began residing at Glen Echo. The driveway provided access to the carriage house. The aggregate concrete footpath connects the road to the front of the house. The original walkways were primary raised wooden boardwalks.
