Description

O Governador de Minas Gerais, Aécio Neves, e o diretor-geral da Google para a América Latina, Alexandre Hohagen, assinaram, nesta segunda-feira (01/06), no Palácio da Liberdade, parceria inédita no país que dará acesso a um conjunto de softwares oferecidos pela empresa, via Internet, a todos os 2,5 milhões de alunos e 165 mil professores das escolas da rede pública estadual. É a primeira vez que a empresa norte-americana assina convênio desse tipo com um governo no Brasil. Na solenidade, no Palácio da Liberdade, o governador Aécio Neves, acompanhado dos secretários de Estado de Ciência e Tecnologia e Ensino Superior, Alberto Portugal, e de Educação, Vanessa Guimarães, recebem a diretoria da Google e o vice-presidente mundial da Google, Vint Cerf, cientista que inventou o protocolo IP responsável pela comunicação entre computadores.

A solenidade contou com a participação de blogueiros de todo o país que, após o evento, entrevistaram o diretor-geral da Google para a América Latina, Alexandre Hohagen, e secretário de Estado de Ciência e Tecnologia, Alberto Portugal.
