Deutsch: Zum Goldenen Schnitt: Seitenverhältnisse von verschiedenen prominenten Rechtecken im Vergleich. Angegeben ist das Seitenverhältnis und der entsprechende Faktor. Dargestellt sind von links nach rechts
  1. 4 : 3 - Traditionelles de:Fernsehformat. In der Regel auch bei de:Computermonitoren (z. B. 1024 × 768 Pixel).
  2. √2 : 1 - Das Seitenverhältnis beim DIN-A4-Blatt und verwandten DIN-Maßen. Bei einer Halbierung durch eine Waagerechte entstehen wiederum Rechtecke mit dem selben Seitenverhältnis.
  3. 3 : 2 - Seitenverhältnis beim de:Kleinbildfilm (36mm × 24mm).
  4. Φ : 1 - Seitenverhältnis im Goldenen Schnitt. Hier approximiert durch 144 × 89 Pixel mit einem theoretischem Fehler von nur 5·10-5. Die beiden benachbarten Rechtecke weisen ebenfalls Seitenverhältnisse von benachbarten Fibonacci-Zahlen auf und approximieren daher den Goldenen Schnitt vergleichsweise gut.
  5. 5 : 3 - Findet neben dem noch breiteren 1:1,85 als de:Kinoformat Verwendung.
  6. 16 : 9 - de:Breitbildformat.
