Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Golden Temple, or Gurudwara Harmandir Sahib, is the most significant site of Sikhism, built in the late 16th century. It derives its name from the golden leaves covering the sanctum, which is surrounded by a sacred pool. This pool known as Amritsarovar is the eponym of the city of Amritsar where the temple is located. The photograph was clicked during the golden hour after sunrise in the month of December 2018.
