Summary[edit]

Description

<a href="http://www.greenknowe.co.uk/" rel="nofollow">The Manor House</a>, Hemingford Grey, Cambridgeshire (<a href="http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-53990-the-manor-house-hemingford-grey-cambridge" rel="nofollow">Grade I</a>), and its gardens, which is open to the public. The house was the residence of the author Lucy Boston, who made the house famous as Green Knowe in her series of children's books; she died in 1990, and her son Peter, who illustrated the books died in 1999. The house is still in the family and is also open to the public by appointment.

A walk of 11.7 miles that I did with two others on 24 May 2015 in Cambridgeshire, in and around Godmanchester, Hemingford Abbots, Hemingford Grey, St Ives, and Houghton.
