English: Ah, the northern tip of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the waters of the San Francisco Bay, all bathed in the colorful light of what I'd call a Sunset of Glorious Renown, while the wild and wooly side of Alcatraz Island waits in deep shadow. This was taken from the back of a boat, the Flyer, the Alcatraz Cruises boat most regularly used for the Night Tour. It is a jpeg image taken with a iPhone 8. Very difficult picture for me to get, as I was one of the snack bar attendants, and as we neared the Island, a line would form with people wanting one last coffee, beer, pretzel, hot dog, nachos, muffin, etc. The line dispersed suddenly and almost no one was left inside the boat on the first level: the sunset had lured everyone out onto the open upper decks. I stepped outside, took a few pics, returned to my post 20 seconds later, and Bingo! A guest was just stepping up to the counter. And I already had my pic. Funny thing is, no matter how beautiful it appears, a tropical sunset like this doesn't really belong in San Francisco Bay, by the city once known as the Cool Gray City of Love, with its semi-permanent fog and wintery summers. But--alarming omen or not--it sure looks like it was painted by God to me.
