L'immagine appartiene ad una serie di nudi femminili, tutti su fondo nero e con le stesse tre modelle, o creati espressamente o acquistati da altro fotografo allo scopo di allargare l'offerta rivolta alla clientela eterosessuale. Cm 15x21. Il formato e l'inquadratura inusuali suggeriscono si tratti della rifilatura di una foto in origine di Cm 18x24.
English: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856–1931), "Female nude torso, garlanded and barechested". Catalogue number: 1324 D. The use of the black background is unusual for Gloeden. This image belongs to a series of female nudes against a black background, either created on purpose or bought from some other photographer in order to widen the offer aimed at the heterosexual market. Cm 15x21. The unusual format and pose suggest this is the trimming of a shot that was originally sized cm 18x24.
