Description
Deutsch: Künstlerische Darstellung der Oberfläche der heißen Super-Erde Gliese 486b. Mit einer Temperatur von etwa 700 Kelvin (430 °C) erwarten die Astronomen der CARMENES-Kollaboration eine Venus-ähnliche heiße und trockene Landschaft, die von glühenden Lavaströmen durchzogen ist. Gliese 486b hat möglicherweise eine dünne Atmosphäre.
English: Artistic impression of the surface of the hot super-Earth Gliese 486b. With a temperature of about 700 Kelvin (430 °C), the astronomers of the CARMENES collaboration expect a Venus-like hot and dry landscape interspersed with glowing lava rivers. Gliese 486b possible has a tenuous atmosphere.
