Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Gjøngehøvdingen, der foregår under den Første Karl Gustav-krig i 1657-1658. Ib Abelsøn, gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen og to karle i baggrunden. Ib Abelsøn har lige spioneret ved siden af en varm kamin og er derfor blevet meget tørstig. Svend Poulsen (ca. 1610 - ca. 1679) var en virkelig person, men historien er fiktion.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Gjøngehøvdingen by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1657-1658. Ib Abelsøn, Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, and two farm hands in the background. Ib Abelsøn has just been spying next to a hot fireplace and has become very thirsty because of it. Svend Poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person but the story is fiction. |
