English: SleepApnea org Presents SLEEP DISTURBANCES AMONG VULNERABLE POPULATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES
Sleep Apnea does not discriminate. As new sleep studies expand our knowledge, so expands the Sleep Apnea Community, revealing common symptoms and comorbidities, but also large discrepancies in attitude, diagnosis and treatment. Recently, researchers at NYU Langone conducted an in-depth study on the effects of poor sleep health among notoriously underserved communities. Their findings are revealing, and essentially hopeful. Featuring: Girardin Jean-Louis, PhD. Professor, Department of Population Health - NYU Langone Natasha J. Williams, EdD, MPH, Assistant Professor, Department of Population Health - NYU Grossman Alicia Chung, EdD, MPH, Assistant Professor, Department of Population Health - NYU Grossman Azizi A. Seixas, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Population Health - NYU Langone These interviews were conducted in July 2018, and some clips may have appeared previously.
