Description
Italiano: Giovanni Battista Lusieri (ca. 1755-1821) - Il Vesuvio visto dal forte del Granatello a Portici. "Il dipinto riprende l’inquadratura della veduta del Lusieri(1784), ma spostata dalle cave della Real Petriera al Forte del Granatello,escludendo dalla visuale la Real Villa di Portici. Nel dipinto il Casino del Renna copre quello del Cecere." A sinistra la villa dell’Ambasciatore Russo presso la Corte Borbonica,con una ridotta vista dei magnifici giardini della villa Caravita(attuale Maltese). Sulla terrazza del forte si leggono le scritte dei soldati borbonici,con graffiti celebranti papa Pio VII,un numero 4 con la scritta cavalieri, il nome Antonio e un sole."
