Summary[edit]

Description One advantage of taking macro shots in the field is that I'm learning a lot more about native - and non-native - plants. This dandelion-like puff was four inches across. A little internet research taught me it is western salsify, an invasive weed from Europe that has spread across most of the United States. Seen while wandering the Tualatin Wildlife Refuge last spring.
