English: Giant Puff-Ball Fungus This fungus, Langermannia Gigantea, was photographed in a pasture field. It is edible when white and firm, but on maturity will turn brown and roll around to scatter the millions of spores. (Source: Mushrooms and Fungi of Great Britain and Europe by Roger Phillips)
