Ghagmagri~ઘાઘમાંગરી A tradition of North Gujarat~ villages. The ghagmagri ~one type of fire torch. But not exactly fire torch I can say, actually it is made up of neem stick with four split on one end of neem stick and put thick thread in middle of four split with pouring oil in it to lightening. Surrounding by layering with fresh cow dung. The real Use of this ghagmagri is on Dipawali evening. This is our North Gujarat i. e. (Gandhinagar, Mahesana, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha Etc. District) tradition in which village people take this ghagmagri with flame and walk with it towards end of the street (jampa) by singing like ઘાઘમાંગરી માં તેલ પુરાવો..... સૌ નું સારું થાઓ.... દિવાળી આવી રે..... દિવાળી આવી રે..... and all are gathered in centre.
