This paleontological restoration is inaccurate, or its accuracy is disputed. Reason: Dorsal spine present on each podomere of frontal appendages (present only on distal podomeres) and numerous speculative features never suggested by any scientific literatures: complex trunk sclerites (lacking in radiodont); irregular head sclerites (ovoid in Anomalocaris); large neck flaps (small in Anomalocaris); spine-like terminal extension (smooth and flap-like in Anomalocaris). |
