Innenansicht des Mahlwerks. Durch den Trichter kommt das Mahlgut auf die sehr schnell rotierende Mahlscheibe. An den 6 "Fingern" die am Rande hervorstehen wird das Korn zerschlagen und in die Höhe geschleudert. In der oberen Abdeckung prallt das grob zertrümmerte Korn gegen die halbkreisförmigen Rillen und fällt erneut auf die Mahlscheibe. Dies wiederholt sich so lange, bis je nach Menge des Nachschubs, die Verdrängung bzw. Fliehkraft stärker ist und das Mahlerzeugnis am Rande heraus und in einen Auffangtrichter herabfällt. Ist die Schieberöffnung gering (in der Mitte unter dem Einfülltrichter -Loch), wird wenig Korn auf die Mahlscheibe gebracht = Feinmahlgang bis zum Mehl! Ist die Schieberöffnung groß, wird viel Korn nur grob zerkleinert bzw. geschrotet.
