English: Gate, Tuckers Hall, Exeter. The gate in front of 213538. The coat of arms on the shield at the top can be seen at http://www.tuckershall.org.uk/index.html , a site which gives a brief account of the guild's history. It shows "a weavers shuttle, two burling irons, teasel frames and a pair of tuckers shears".(http://www.exetermemories.co.uk/EM/_buildings/tuckers_hall.php ). That's presumably a teazel with green leaves lower down. |
