Description
English: Just a few hours before the launch of NASA's Glory research satellite, NASA Deputy Administrator Lori B. Garver visited the mission's launch site at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. With Garver at the Pacific coast launch site is Michael Freilich (far right), director of the Earth Science Division in NASA's Science Mission Directorate, and Hal Maring (center), Glory program scientist. Glory will join 13 other NASA missions currently orbiting our home planet that provide scientists with valuable data to study climate change and the entire Earth system.
