Description
English: Ganz-Jendrassik diesel engine from 1932. The engine was designed by György Jendrassik and made by Ganz & Co. for a series of branchline railcars. The engine type was famous due to its reliability and low fuel consumption. By 1934, six companies had bought the manufacturing licence. The cold start was carried out by opening the inlet valve at the end of the stroke so that the incoming air got heated on the valve.

Cylinder configuration: six in-line

Max. output: 88 kW (120 hp) at 1350 rpm.
