Description
English: NS 9562 7698, LR65.

Second Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1936-52).

This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 248.6180 feet [75.7788 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Linlithgow to Kincardine levelling line. Geodetic line G247, levelled during 1942. The surveyor's description was SW face, S angle of house, N side of road, NE of church. Marker last verified in 1942. Apparently not used in 3GL Scotland or any later levelling surveys.

SITE VISIT: On cemetery lodge. Hidden from view by shrubbery. Public access. FB in good condition. Photographed with head in bush 26/08/2006, GRP.
