Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Fulton Block/New Zealand House/Hotel Fulton at the NE corner of S 2nd Street and Jackson Street. Built in 1890-91 by John R. Kinnear and designed by Hetherington & Clements it displayed a rather eclectic use of corbelling and window spacing. It was reduced to 1 story after the 1949 earthquake and encased in a modern stucco coating, which was later removed, the cast iron storefront columns and several stone sills are about the only original architectural elements still surviving.
