Description
English: Title: Fu l' ultimo il briccone

Abstract: Italian political cartoon shows a drunken Englishman struggling to remain upright at the base of a stairway in a wine cellar, he is holding an empty bottle labeled "Cipro" at his side, behind him is a wine barrel labeled "Indie" with two men labeled "Ayah" and "Emir" extracting wine, a wine barrel labeled "Afganista" with two men labeled "Tartaro" and "Indigens", and a barrel in the background labeled "Abissinia" from which three men are drinking wine. A man labeled "Russo" can be seen through a barred window off the stairway, drinking from a pitcher labeled "Armenia". At the top of the stairs, on the left, behind a gate labeled "Noninterv", two boys, one labeled "Greco" and the other wearing the hat of Italy, are trying to get in. A pitcher labeled "Asia" and a glass are on a wall in the lower left corner. Physical description: 1 print : chromolithograph ; sheet 41.5 x 58.9 cm.
