Description
Deutsch: Schüler auf dem Areal der Schulgemeinde in Wickersdorf bei Saalfeld im Thüringer Wald. In grauen Knickerbockers zu erkennen sind die drei engen Freunde Arnold Ernst Fanck (3. von links), Werner Mehr (4. von links) und Max Kahn (6. von links). Max Kahn besuchte das Internat von 1930 bis 1934, Werner Mehr von 1934 bis 1938, Arnold Fanck junior von 1930 bis 1938. Die Fotografie könnte demzufolge um Ostern 1934 entstanden sein; auf der Erde liegt eine dünne Schneedecke.
English: A group of pupils at the compound of Schulgemeinde (= School Community) in Wickersdorf near Saalfeld in the Thuringian Forest. Wearing grey knickerbockers three close friends can be recognized: Arnold Ernst Fanck (3rd from left), Werner Mehr (4th from left) and Max Kahn (6th from left). Max Kahn visited the boarding school from 1930 to 1934, Werner Mehr from 1934 to 1938 and Arnold Fanck junior from 1930 to 1938. The picture could have been made around Easter 1934; there is a thin layer of snow on the ground.
