Deutsch: Neben dem Selbstbildnis mit aufgestütztem Arm (Inv.-Nr. 1932-153) das bekannteste Selbstbildnis Friedrichs. Alfred Lichtwark hatte erstmals das Blatt als Vorlage zu dem seitenverkehrten Holzschnitt angesehen, den der Bruder des Künstler, der Holzschnitzer Christian Friedrich, angefertigt hatte (Anm. 1). Dagegen lehnte Carl Georg Heise Friedrich als Urheber und ein Selbstbildnis ab. Seit Herbert von Einems Friedrich-Buch, 1938, wird das Blatt als Selbstbildnis Friedrichs angesehen
