Abzug um 1880 von einem Negativ aus den 1850er Jahren, erkennbar an der langen Belichtungszeit und der noch fehlenden Gründerzeitbebauung der rechten Straßenfront. Untertitelt: "Fribourg en Brisgau / Statue du Duc de Zähringen le fondateur de la ville de Fribourg". Diese Aufnahme diente als Vorlage der Abbildung im Führer durch Freiburg des Herder-Verlages von 1881.
