Description
English: The Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, monument of Doge Giovanni Pesaro. The monument was commissioned by the Doge Leonardo Pesaro nephew. It was built from 1665 to 1669. The Doge had left 12,000 ducats for its realization. The Project Manager was chosen Baldassarre Longhena. The many sculptures of Melchior Barthel of Dresden Josse de Corte, with Francesco Cavrioli and Michele Fabris. Corte was responsible for little angels holding the weapons of the family, the statue of Giovanni Pesaro, and the four entwined allegories: Religion and the Value, left, Concorde and Justice, right. The following: Intelligence, Nobility, and Wealth Study, alluding to the achievements and merits of the Doge.
Français : La basilique Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, monument du doge Giovanni Pesaro. Le monument a été commandité par Leonardo Pesaro neveu du doge. Il fut construit de 1665 à 1669. Le doge avait laissé 12 000 ducats pour sa réalisation. Le Maître d’œuvre choisi fût Baldassarre Longhena. Les nombreuses sculptures sont de Melchior Barthel de Dresde et Josse le Court, avec Francesco Cavrioli et Michele Fabris. De Corte était responsable des petits anges tenant les armes de la famille, la statue de Giovanni Pesaro, et les quatre allégories enlacées: la Religion et de la Valeur, à gauche, la Concorde et de la Justice, à droite. Aux dessous : Intelligence, Noblesse, Richesse et Etude, qui font allusion aux exploits et aux mérites du doge.
Italiano: La Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, monumento del doge Giovanni Pesaro. Il monumento è stato commissionato dal nipote doge Leonardo Pesaro. E 'stato costruito dal 1665 al 1669.
