Description
Deutsch: Das Café Milani am Eingang der Zeil, um 1885, dem Versammlungsort der rechten Fraktion der Nationalversammlung, direkt daneben das Café Mozart mit dem Gebäude Wiedenhof. Die zukünftige Hauptpost von Frankfurt am Main ist noch nicht gebaut. 1902 entstand unter dem Architekten Otto Sturm (* 21.12.1865 Darmstadt + N.N.) für den Verlag und die Buchhandlung Franz Benjamin Auffahrt ein mehrstockiges Geschäftshaus an der Stelle des traditionsreichen Café Milani. Direkt östlich daneben errichteten 1904 die Architekten Josef Rindsfüßer und Martin Kühn an der Stelle des nicht weniger stadtbekannten Café Mozart das Geschäftshaus von Frank & Baer Textilwaren, später Kaufhaus Tietz, dann arsisierter Kaufhof.
