Deutsch: Parkhotel in Frankfurt am Main, Wiesenhüttenplatz 36-38; denkmalgeschützter Hotelbau von 1905 für den in Ungarn als Sohn eines Arztes geborenen Gastronomen Wilhelm Gömöri (1854-1917) und seine Ehefrau Sophie nach Entwurf der Frankfurter Architekten Franz Vietze und Wilhelm Helfrich; mit aufwändigen Fassaden aus rotem Sandstein und grünen Fliesen in Formen von Neobarock und Neoklassizismus; figürliche Bauplastik über Portal und Fenstern nach Entwürfen von F. Vietze; bronzene Kaiser-Wilhelm-I.-Büste von Bildhauer Bruno Diamant (1867-1942); Bei der Eröffnung nannte Gömöri das Hotel "Kaiserhof". Es war äußerst luxuriös eingerichtet und grenzte damals direkt an den parkähnlichen Garten des von Wiesenhüttenschen Anwesens, an das der heute noch grüne Wiesenhüttenplatz erinnert. Daher nannte man Wilhelm und seinen ihm nachfolgenden ältesten Sohn Franz Gömöri auch scherzhaft die "Herren von Wiesenhütten". 1945 beschlagnahmte die US-Army auch diese Hotel für ihre Zwecke. Bei der Rückgabe der Liegenschaft 1952 fehlte viel bewegliches Inventar. Paul Bocuse hatte hier einen seiner Auslandeinsätze. |
