Description
English: The cemetery of Polish victims of the German Nazi massacre in Sochy (near Zwierzyniec, in the Zamość County, Lublin Voivodeship) on June 1, 1943, during the German occupation of Poland from 1939 to 1945. During World War II. June 1 is a symbolic date because today June 1 is Children's Day in Poland. Many Polish children were killed in the massacre in Sochy. Often with their parents and family.

Tomb. Michał Skura, 68 years old, Maria Skura aged 47, Józef Skura aged 15, Franciszek Skura aged 13, Katarzyna Pieczykolan, 53 years old, Ewa Pieczykolan, 74 years old.

At that time, Germans murdered about 181-200 people, including many women and children. The village burned down. The Germans also used about 7-10 Luftwaffe aircraft and bombed the village of Sochy. Only a few people survived.

W czasie II wojny światowej. 1 czerwca jest datą symboliczną, ponieważ obecnie 1 czerwca obchodzony jest Dzień Dziecka w Polsce. A w masakrze w Sochach zginęło wiele polskich dzieci.
