Description World War I memorial on the wall of the Franciscan Church in Pápa, inaugurated in 1935. Art by Géza Schneider. Inscription: "This memorial tablet as well as the Saint John Capistran great bell of this church announce the memory of the heros of the world war who died in captivity. 1914-1918. Brave valiants faithful to the homeland who have received only suffering in return for the heroic struggle and maybe not even a wooden cross in your deaths, let this commemoration be yours. They have bled and died but victoriously: the light of their deed shines throught time and vanishing. Bajza."
