Francis Hassendeubel was a Lt. Col. with the 3rd Missouri Volunteer Infantry during a three month enlistment and was probably involved in the Camp Jackson affair. He is also listed as being a colonel in the 17th Missouri Volunteer Infantry in Hewitt (1998).
