English: Handwritten on verso: 4m bktn Alta Alta was a steel barkentine, weighing 380 tons. She was built in Glasgow in 1900. She was inward from Callao on June 9, 1907 when she collided with the wooden bark, Fresno, near Port Ludlow. She was drydocked and repaired (p. 135). Later she was en rout from San Pedro for Bellingham when she went missing (p. 344). [Notes from Gordon Newell, ed., The H.W.
