Description
English: Former warden Terry Carrico visits abandoned Camp X-Ray eleven years later.
Original caption: "
Former Guantanamo Bay detention facility commander retired Col. Terry Carrico answers questions regarding Camp X-Ray's past, July 26, 2013, at U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Carrico was the first commander of Camp X-Ray when it was established in 2002 as a temporary detention camp for detainees and is still standing today. Although it is not being used, it serves as a historical site. Although Carrico was asked to visit the site by JTF leadership, his motivation also came from wanting to see the evolution from Guantanamo Bay's past. (Army National Guard Photo by Sgt.
