Summary
[edit]DescriptionFormer Church of the Divine Humanity, Buffalo, New York - 20200113.jpg |
English: The former Church of the Divine Humanity, 181 West Utica Street at Atlantic Avenue, Buffalo, New York, January 2020. Built in 1900 to house Buffalo's only Swedenborgian religious congregation, the oddly-styled building sports Eastlake-style woodwork on the façade (much of which is now covered under clapboard siding) and a squat wood-framed bell tower with the entrance at its base, the latter sheltered by a hipped roof. It's now home to the nondenominational Word of Life Church, who has been in the building since at least 1979, the date marked on the church's NRHP building-structure inventory form. |
