| Description |
English: Footpath leading to trackbed of dismantled railway The view shows the coastguard station above an artificial cliff below which was the marshalling yard of a light railway that was used to carry coal from Tilmanstone Colliery to Dover's docks. The railway was closed in 1930 when an aerial ropeway came into use for the same purpose. The view also shows the docks at Dover and the cliffs beyond. |
