Summary[edit]

Description
English: Looking north from the Wilson bay at the font in the center of the nave of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

The font is decorated for Christmas. It contains blessed water, so that those who wish to ritually wash (by dipping their fingers into the water) before entering a pew for meditation or prayer may do so.

Across the nave is the Bettelheim Bay, which features stained glass windows depicting "America the Beautiful."
