English: Share of the Fonderies pour le laminage des Cuivres propres au doublage des vaisseaux, issued on 9 April 1806 in Paris, printed on parchment. Already since 1793, the fonderies de Romilly was controlled by Jean-Barthélemy Le Couteulx de Canteleu and his family. At the end of the 18th century, the Romilly foundries were one of the largest industrial establishments in France. The first factory to produce rolled copper on an industrial scale, they were of strategic importance as they supplied the Navy with lining plates for ships.

Die 1782 gegründete Gießerei von Romilly-sur-Andelle war Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts eine der größten Industrieanlagen Frankreichs. Als erste Fabrik, die industriell gewalztes Kupfer herstellte, war sie von strategischer Bedeutung, da sie die Marine mit Platten für die Beschlagung von Schiffen belieferte. Am 1. November 1802 besuchte der Erste Konsul Napoleon Bonaparte die Gießerei während seines Besuchs in der Normandie. Später ließ Bonaparte dort die Kanonen schmelzen, die er von seinen Feinden erbeutete. 1804 wurde Jean Barthelemy le Couteulx de Canteleu, ehemaliger Präsident des französischen Parlaments und Regent der Banque de France, Hauptaktionär.

Première usine à produire industriellement du cuivre laminé, elle revêtait une importance stratégique puisqu'elle fournissait à la marine des plaques pour le ferrage des navires. Le 1er novembre 1802, le Premier Consul Napoléon Bonaparte a visité la fonderie lors de sa visite en Normandie. Plus tard, Bonaparte y fit fondre les canons qu'il avait pris à ses ennemis. En 1804, Jean Barthelemy le Couteulx de Canteleu, ancien président du Parlement français et régent de la Banque de France, en devint l'actionnaire principal. |
