Summary[edit]

Description
English: Geological cross section NW-SE: Swabian Jura: Forland at Rottenburg, Alb-Cuesta at Talheim and Mägerkingen on the Alb plateau.
Evidence of both, old fluvial terraces of river Neckar and fossils in Upper Danube-related former river-cave "Bärenhöhle (German)" were rated to be of "Tegelen" age (lower Pleistocene).
The immense headward erosion of Neckar tributaries has captured Danube tributaries and created wind gaps. Karst phenomena accelarated the process.
