Summary[edit]

Description
English: This image uses a combination of infra-red and visible light to increase the contrast between water and land. Vegetation appears bright green, water appears navy blue, bare soil appears sandy pink, and clouds appear pale blue-green. Flood waters are most conspicuous between the lagoons, almost connecting the water bodies across the strip of land that usually separates them. Flood waters also submerge much of the land east of Lagoa Mirim, and swell tributaries west of that lagoon. There is also an obvious reduction of bare ground (shown in sandy pink). This change might result from flooding, but may also result from seasonal changes as the Southern Hemisphere’s springtime progresses.
