Senior Airman Daniel Burdick, 18th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, scans with AMD 300 a radiation survey meter on Staff Sgt. Aaron Wermy, 374 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron here March 21. The ADM 300 is used to scan aircraft and personnel for possible presence of radiation exposure. Airman Burdick is one of two man team part of a Contamination Avoidance Team designed to check on aircraft, vehicles, and personnel during post-mission assessment for radiation exposure. The CAT sits in 24 hours stand by until the emergency operation center contacts them when an aircrafts lands.
