Arms of "Fletcher of Allerton, Lancashire", granted to Caleb Fletcher, Esq (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.362): Azure, two horse's heads erased ermine and in base an anchor with cable or on a chief wavy of the last three hurts each charged with a pheon argent; Crest: A dexter arm embowed in armour the hand grasping an arrow all proper behind the arm an anchor erect or. Per Heraldic Visitation of England and Wales, Vol.13, 1905, by Howard, Joseph Jackson, 1827-1902; Crisp, Frederick Arthur, 1851-1922; College of Arms (Great Britain), pp.57-60[1]: Caleb Fletcher of May Place, Liverpool, co. Lancaster (2nd son of Jacob Fletcher of Liverpool, formerly of Whitehaven, co. Cumberland, by Isabella his wife, dau. of Caleb Birch of Whitehaven) ; born at Whitehaven 6 April 1754; died at May Place, Liverpool, 1 5 January, bur. in the family vault at Holy Trinity, Wavertree, co. Lancaster, 22 January 1810. Will with codicil dated 22 December i8o8, proved (P.C.C. 416 Collingwood) 7 August 18 10, by Ellen Fletcher, relict, Joseph Fletcher, Jacob Fletcher and Thomas Rawson, four of the Exors. Power reserved to Jacob Fletcher, son, when he shall attain the age of 2 r years. Also Caleb Fletcher of Allerton, co. Lancaster; born lo November, bapt. at St. Thomas', Liverpool, CO. Lancaster, 7 December 1792; died unmarried at Allerton, aged 78, on Friday, 18 November, bur. at Holy Trinity, Wavertree, CO. Lancaster, 22 November 1870. Will dated 29 January 1864, with two codicils dated respectively 4 February 1870 and 29 September 1870, proved at Liverpool 31 December 1870, by Alfred Fletcher of Holly Bank, Green Lane, Wavertree, CO.
