Description
English: BROOKLYN, NY - (May 21, 2008) - A U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) Seaman and an active-duty member of the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Sixth Marines, Second Marine Division from Camp Lejeune, NC help man the rails of the U.S. Navy?s amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3), while a U.S. Coast Guard 25-foot Secure All-around Flotation Equipped (SAFE) boat provides security for its safe passage through Gravesend Bay and into New York Harbor, during the 2008 Fleet Week celebration and Parade of Ships. The boat was one of many of its class to perform the maritime security task, along with USCG Cutters Line, Hawser, Ridley and Bainbridge Island..
