Français : 1ER OCTOBRE 1947 :

nguyen van xuanEn Cochinchine, le général Nguyên van Xuân remplace le Docteur Hoach à la tête du gouvernement cochinchinois.

Xuân, très ambitieux, homme de la franc-maçonnerie et des socialistes se considère au début comme l'homme possible d'une troisième voie entre Hô Chi Minh et l'ex-empereur. Mais après avoir exaspéré toutes les parties par ses maladresses, il se rallie à Bảo Đại deux mois après.

Symboliquement, le général Xuân change le nom de son gouvernement de «Gouvernement de la République Provisoire de Cochinchine» en «Gouvernement Provisoire du Sud-Vietnam».

Le Dr Hoach, évincé, forme le Rassemblement National Vietnamien (Quoc Gia Lien Hiep) qui a pour but de remplacer le Front de l'Unité Nationale et qui est, tout comme lui, composé de Caodaistes, de Hoa Hao, et d'anciens du V.N.Q.D.D. et du Daï Viêt.

5 OCTOBRE 1947 : Bảo Đại écrit au Haut-commissaire pour demander le remplacement du «Gouvernement Provisoire de la République de Cochinchine» par un «Comité administratif» comme à Hà-Nôi et Hué.

Il s'agirait d'une première étape d'harmonisation administrative entre les trois «Ky».
