Original drawing appeared in "The Engineer", June 1, 1883, with an accompanying article. John Charles Wilson did lots of design work of locomotives. The partnership with Bromley lasted from June, 1882 to July, 1884.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: An old photograph of one of the first locomotives build for the Newfoundland Railway. There seems to be a discrepancy in this poster here. It shows an 0-6-0T and says it was built by Hunslett initially for the Prince Edward Island Railway. Wikipedia shows the PEI engine as a 4-4-0T. The 0-6-0T was, as per Wikipedia, built by Hawthorn Leslie in 1881 for the erstwhile Harbour Grace Railway and was sold in 1898 to the Botwood Railway.
