Description
English: Reminiscent of the lifting body research flights conducted more than 30 years earlier, NASA's NB-52B mothership lifts off carrying a new generation of lifting body research vehicle--the X-38. The X-38 was designed to help develop an emergency crew return vehicle for the International Space Station.
