Summary

[edit]
Description

Every year, except perhaps 2020, the Spanish seaside town of Sitges attracts more than 100,000 visitors to see the Festa Major firework display in August, which is spectacular, and lasts for an hour.

The fireworks are set off electronically from bases near the church, which can clearly be seen in this photo.

The display is part of a full week of celebrations held in celebration of the town’s patron saint, Sant Bartomeu (Saint Bartholomew) late every August.

Nikon D300S 18-200 zoom at 20mm, handheld, 0.3 seconds at f4.0, 1600 ISO.
