It is believed that Christmasberry promotes the reattachment of periodontal tissue after removal of diseased dental root surfaces. Folk medicine reports Christmasberry being used to treat cancer, dizziness, headaches, high blood pressure, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, and rheumatism.
