It has large, fleshy, oval-shaped leaves that are green above and fuzzy white below. At the end of the stem are terminal flower heads with yellow ligules surrounding a large central, yellow disk. It blooms July through September. Height 30-90 cm (1-3 ft). Habitat: Beach groundsel is found along gravelly and sandy seashores. |
