Description
Deutsch: Diese (Feuerwehr-)Saugbrunnen als Vorgänger der späteren schmucklosen Hydranten (Wasserstöcke) wurden für Groß-Berlin ab 1925 eingeführt. Hergestellt wurde das Gehäuse in der Eisengießerei Lauchhammer. Unter dem Deckel mit Bärenkopf befindet sich der Anschlussstutzen für den Verbindunggsschlauch zur Feuerwehrpumpe. Diese Brunnen wurden vom Wassernetz versorgt. In den 1930er Jahren folgten dann schmucklose Formen, in der grundsätzlichen Gestaltung wie die mitunter abgeändert als Überflurhydranten im Berliner Straßenbild zu finden sind. Meist sind sie für den Löschwasseranschluss als Unterflurhydranten niveaugleich im Gehweg eingelassen.
