Description
Deutsch: Festung Lichtenau (Landkreis Ansbach):
Die (etwa im Vergleich mit Ingolstadt) relativ kleine Festung ist nur teilweise von der Ortschaft umgeben; daher lässt sich die Anlage an den anderen Seiten gut in ihrer Gesamtheit überblicken.
Das Tor ist mit einer Rustikaquader-Fassade im Stil des Frühbarock versehen, deren antikisierender „dorischer Fries“ (Metopen-Triglyphen-Fries) in den Metopenfeldern allerlei Waffen zeigt (Helm, Schwert, Streitkolben, Panzer (Harnisch), Schild und Krummsäbel). In den Mauerfugen wuchs zahlreich der Gelbe Lerchensporn (Corydalis lutea bzw. Pseudofumaria lutea).
